Merijn Veldman
Merijn Veldman joined Kennedy Van der Laan in 2004. He graduated
from Utrecht University with majors in private law and
constitutional and administrative law.
Merijn mainly focuses on rental law (business premises and
residential accommodation), public housing law and construction law
and (re)development. Merijn regularly advises tenants, landlords,
real estate developers, investors, municipalities, and associations
of owners-occupiers if they need advice in real estate matters. In
addition to this, Merijn has wide experience in litigation before
the court and the Arbitration Board.
Merijn is co-author of the handbook “Huurrecht Woonruimte”
(residential accommodation rental law) and he is a rental law
editor of the newsletter Bedrijfsjuridische berichten. He regularly
gives courses in his field. Merijn is also a member of the
Association of Rent Law Attorneys.
In his spare time Merijn likes to play football and to go
cycling.
