Sophie van Loon wins VIE award
On 10 March 2010 Sophie van Loon, attorney with the Intellectual
Property and Media Law group of Kennedy Van der Laan, won the VIE
award for her publication "Refusal to License as Abuse of a
Dominant Position"
(Licentieweigering als misbruik van
machtspositie). The award was presented during the annual
symposium of the Dutch Intellectual Property Association
(Nederlandse Vereniging voor Intellectuele Eigendom
('VIE')) in Zeist.
The VIE award is a prize for the best article in the field of
intellectual property law in the previous year. The award is
intended for young authors who are under the age of 35 at the time
of publication.
